When you are eating, try to remember to slow down. Digestion starts in the mouth. The more we chew our food and mix it with the enzymes that are naturally present in our saliva, the easier it will be for our bodies to break it down and absorb the nutrients. Remember it takes 20 minutes for you realize you are full anyway, so slowing down will naturally cause you to eat less. Make it a habit to be fully present when your feeding yourself. Smell the aromas, taste the flavors, enjoy the textures and spend this time with people that make you smile and feel good.
