Thanksgiving Tip of the Day

While the classic and traditional thanksgiving side dish potatoes may seem healthy because it is technically a vegetable, this carbohydrate filled dish will likely leave you feeling sluggish and exhausted.  A single serving of potatoes is ½ cup, or roughly the size of a tennis ball cut in half, and contains a whopping 145 calories, yikes! A much healthier alternative is broccoli cooked with herbs and spices, such as peppers and chives.  This healthy and delicious choice only costs you 15 calories per serving!
