HIIT consists of spending 20 or so minutes where you alternate between max intensity for a short duration followed by a longer period of moderate intensity. HIIT has been shown to have aerobic and anaerobic benefits and is one of the quickest ways to achieve a better body composition. With HIIT, you can lose more fat in less time than with a traditional cardio regimen.
